It’s freezing outside!  And by freezing I mean…45º F.  -_-   Yah, I know for most people that’s hardly cold at all, but for this wimpy So Cal girl, anything under 65º is cause for me to break out my space heater.  So enjoy this little escape to warmer waters!

After Karen & Greg’s wedding, we spent a few extra days in Maui enjoying the sun and the food!  Last year when we went to Hawaii, I really wanted to find a turtle sunbathing on the beach (we found one!).  This time, I was on a mission to snorkel with one.  I’m happy to say that I can now check that off my list!

One of the first things we always do when we arrive in Hawaii is stop by Foodland and pick up some essentials.  And by essentials I mean portuguese sausage, fruit, POG juice, and POKE!  I seriously LOVE the food in Hawaii!

We took another trip up to Haleakala.  Seeing the sunrise up there is pretty spectacular, but it’s also FREEZING and you have to wake up super duper early.  So we prefer to go up during the day when it’s not quite so cold and when we don’t have to wake up before the crack of dawn.  You should still bring a jacket though as it’s still a little chilly up there.
